Things I Tell Myself
A man left in the spring and never came back — but the flowers keep arriving, and some mornings his coffee waits on the counter, still warm. A quiet, unsparing novelette about grief, the stories we tell to survive it, and the tenderness of a mind protecting itself from what it already knows.

What the Dark Keeps
Three volumes of compressed fiction — flash, prose poems, and short narrative — about the things that don’t resolve.
A house that says yes to every room but one. A hand that wakes with its own intentions. A window lit in a house you’re watching from the garden.
The three volumes are organised by preoccupation, not sequence.
There is no order. Nothing carries over. Each volume is a complete book — and each door leads to the same house.

Volume I · stands alone
The House Beneath
Memory · inheritance · the domestic haunting
Memory, inheritance, and the rooms that keep what happened in them. The first of three standalone volumes.

Volume II · stands alone
The Body Left Behind
Possession · sleep · bodily dread
Possession, sleep, and the body that acts without you. The second of three standalone volumes.

Volume III · stands alone
The Ones Who Watched
Ancestral presence · the feeling of being seen
Ancestral presence, cosmic suspicion, and the feeling of being seen. The third of three standalone volumes.
Where to start
Anywhere. The three volumes were built so that no one has to begin at the beginning. If you want a steer:
- The House Beneath — if you like haunted houses that are really about families.
- The Body Left Behind — if you want the most unsettling of the three.
- The Ones Who Watched — if you prefer your dread cosmic and slow.

The complete collection
What the Dark Keeps: all three volumes
